Enharmonic Equivalence

Intervals that are written differently, but encompass the same number of half steps are enharmonically equivalent:

To check whether two intervals are enharmonically equivalent, imagine playing them on the piano from the same note. To find an enharmonically equivalent interval, write any interval on the staff, and respell one of the notes (F# as Gb, B as Cb, etc…). Identify the new interval!
