Major and minor Triads

A triad is the most basic type of chord. Triads are made up of a fifth on the outside, with a third between the notes of the fifth:

Because of this, the parts of the triad are known as the root, third, and fifth:

When constructing triads, first construct the fifth, then add the third:

Major and minor triads both have a perfect fifth on the outside. The only difference is the quality of the third.

Construct some Major and minor triads above the given notes.
Remember: It is always best to construct the fifth first, and then add the third.
