• Awarded Eastman Professional Development Grant to produce two readings of musical OPEN FOR ME as part of Manhattan Theatre Source’s PlayGround Development Series in April 2009 (Spring 2009)
• Winner of New York State/St. Lawrence chapter of the American Musicological Society’s award for the best student paper presented at its annual meeting (March 2008)
• Young Composer Winner of POLYPHONOS competition; awarded commission to write an unaccompanied choral work (LInvitation au Voyage) for Seattle-based choir The Esoterics to be premiered in April 2008 (July 2007)
• Recipient of a commission from the Hanson Institute for American Music Student Commissioning Program to perform a new work by composer Jacob Bancks as part of a duo recital with guitarist Dieter Hennings in Chicago, IL (December 2006)
• Selected to present The Stolen Child (2006) in a private workshop at the Eastman School with composer Jacob Avshalomov (November 2006)
• Recipient of a commission from The Commission Project to compose a new work (A Spell for the Revival of Osiris) for the Eastman Chorale under William Weinert (Fall 2006)
• Awarded Eastman Professional Development Grant for conducting sketch studies of Benjamin Britten’s opera Peter Grimes at the Britten-Pears Library in Aldeburgh England (Summer 2006)
• Selected to present Dogen Songs (2006) in a public master class at the Eastman School with composer Louis Andriessen, February 2006
