A dramatic setting of Matthew 17:1-6. The choir acts as the narrator throughout the piece, interrupted by a recitative by Peter, the baritone soloist. In a magical moment, the solo quartet, placed ideally at a distance from the full choir (in a balcony, for instance), acts as God’s voice singing from afar the famous passage, “This is my begotten Son….”
