This soft and flowing piece is one of a set of three communion motets; the others are Soul, adorn yourself with gladness and O sacred banquet. It is appropriate for any liturgical season.

Text: Joseph Stennett (1663-1713)
Lord, at thy table I behold the wonders of thy grace; but most of all admire, that I should find a welcome place. Eat, O my friends, the Savior cries, the feast was made for you; for you I groaned, and bled, and died, and rose, and triumphed too. With trembling faith, and bleeding heart, Lord, I accept thy love: ‘tis a rich banquet I have had, what will it be above?
